Mercedes-Benz renamed their famous GLK compact crossover into GLC model. New 2018 Mercedes GLC should still be positioned between GLA and GLE in the lineup. GLC shares most of the components and underpinnings with the C-Class. 2018 GLC design will not undergo any serious changes.
It should keep its overall design same as on current version, except for few possible refreshments. Inside the cabin, GLC will have wood veneer trim, 7-inch display infotainment system and metal-trimmed round air vents. Expect to see power front seats and power liftgate as before. Driver assistance package will be offered, which includes autonomous braking, automatic lane-centering steering, head-up display, heated seats and steering wheel, 360-view camera and panoramic moonroof.
2018 Mercedes GLC engine performance
2018 Mercedes GLC engine lineup should consist of same engines as previous model. 2018 GLC will be powered by 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. GLC AMG versions will come with 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 generating 362 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. Engines will be mated to either 7-speed or 9-speed automatic transmission. 2018 Mercedes GLC 350e 4Matic plug-in hybrid should be powered by 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine combined with an electric motor. Total power output is estimated to be 275 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. All models will run on 18-inch wheels, except ANG version, which will have massive 230-inch wheels. 2018 Mercedes GLC fuel economy will not change, considering that engine lineup remained unchanged. GLC 300 will do 22/28/24 mpg, while 4Matic coupe is rated at 22/27/24 mpg.

2018 Mercedes GLC price will range from $41,000 for GLC 300 with RWD, up [ to $47,750 for the 4Matic coupe. AMG version prices range from $56,750 up to $61,500. Hybrid GLC 350e will be priced at $56,000. Biggest rivals for the new GLC will be Volvo XC60, Audi Q5, Acura RDX, BMW X3, Jaguar F-Pace, Range Rover Evoque and Porsche Macan. 2018 Mercedes GLC release date is expected in fall of 2017.
